  • Are Birds Attracted to your DS3?

Sorry guys but I mean the feathered variety.

Every day I have to go out and clean off a little message left for me on my roof or bonnet and I don't park it near any trees! God knows what the birds eat round here but I am sure they mixing it with the tar from the pot hole repairs because it really takes some getting off.

I am sure they using my white roof as target practice.

    Mate,

We have the same problem. However I 've found that keeping a pack of auto wipes in the glovebox is useful, as it wipes the stuff off first time. The pack I've got was only £1 in our local pound shop and they are called some thing like tar removal wipes, dont let the price put you off they are very good and a few of my mates now swear by them (also useful for wiping dead flies off the front grille after a motorway blast!).

Luckily enough, I don't live anywhere near a tree! My main problem is the bug attraction level. Every Friday night see's me wiping my number plate, front bonnet, grill, windscreen and shiny side rear view mirrors! Grrr.

I wouldn't fancy being the one to clean that!

One problem with a bright yellow car is that it attracts insects like nobody's business, even when standing still. I came back to mine the other day to find it covered in tiny black beetles. They soon got off when I put my foot down though!!

As mine is red do you think the little blighters would regard that (colour) as a sign of danger and splat on next door's car instead?

ore over, the current presence of bird seeds near me sparks a curiosity that transcends era and background. Young ones, in particular, discover joy and fascination in observing the feathered readers that frequent their backyard feeders. It becomes an income class, where instructions about biodiversity, ecology, and the delicate stability of ecosystems are imparted organically.
