  • Tour de France

Just returned from watching a few stage of the Tour de France - managed to get an average of 40.8 mpg over 1500 miles with a roof box, bike rack on the towbar, and aircon running pretty much constantly.

For those of you who haven't travelled over there French rural roads are just fantastic there's next to no traffic and the surfaces are superb (except in some towns).

Saw very few DS3s, even in the Poissy area, but several turned up in the TdF caravan

Here's my THP burdened with roof box, bike rack, minus rear seats plus camping gear and God knows what just in case!

For cycling aficiandos you can pick out Alberto Contador sporting a couple of sticking plasters after one of his falls - Bradley Wiggins was already out

Dsports with headlights on so no DRL activation - evidently not been Lexia'd - think you can see the intercooler behind the grille too?

Is that Cav over Schleck's shoulder?

Yep looks like him. Even my wife got excited with his last stage win! Day off today so will get everything done so that I can chill out and watch live. I love France (And a little bit of Italy today)

Wonder why they thought the cars would be more noticeable with the headlights and not DRL's? Not that you can't see them with a bloody great big phone on top, lol

Hi, Owd git , I noticed you have some bikes on the back of your DS3! What rack are you using and how did you find it? Im struggling to find a rear rack that is suitable !
