Hmm sarcastic post maybe? Lol reminds me of american pie, This one time at band camp...

I'm so good at bartering I paid nothing for my ds3!

In all honesty at 23, with 24k a year as a student I still can't get finance so yes mummy an daddy bailed me out! But Im paying the money back monthly so no harm in that.

I'd love to know how much insurance you are paying at 17 on your car!

Probably the best form of finance as no doubt M&D do it at a very good rate. At least it stops you buying an old banger and being safe.

It is only cos they care and worry about you even though you have grown up.

M&D helped me out on my first car.

My first car was a Mini Clubman similar to this one. Remember battery was in the boot next to the spare tyre and sometimes had to remove the distributor cap and leads and put them in a warm oven to get the car started during the winter until I discovered WD40.

Basically it's more monetary than safety, I won't have to fork out as much each month in petrol or road tax - a 2.0 litre Mondeo really drinks when your doing 40 miles a day! That and the 260 road tax!! Newer car hopefully won't have any issues in the 3 years I intend owning it, and no road tax an 70ish mpg its a no brainer!

Oh and the insurance is 1k less a year despite the ds3 being slightly faster!

Thats why I traded in my 2.0 litre Seat Leon, petrol and road fund licence. 260 to 0 and mpg 26 to 50 at moment.
