  • Roof Vinyl

Looking for some advice about getting a new roof vinyl.

i have the white edition at the moment. i am looking into a gloss black finish like most of you have on your ds3's or a carbon fibre effect finish

i feel more drawn towards the carbon fibre finish but what do you guys think?

    Hows it going??

I have an all white dstyle plus but with a black vinyle roof, photos and stuff here http://ds3club.co.uk/showthread.php?2364-Photies! and http://ds3club.co.uk/showthread.php?...ack-Roof-Vinyl

The dealer sorted everything out for me and was going to "surprise" me with the carbon fibre one - would have been nice but i'm more than happy with the black.

    Good luck!

Looking at getting a Black Carbon fibre roof vinyl fitted- been quoted £200- that sound right?
DS3001 Lee's car impressed me with the red 3d viyl
I know you can get different grades of Carbon fibre vinyls- any no-no's?

Was then thinking of matching up the grill and surround- wonder what the extra would be

Anyone got any suggestion for people that would do this in the South East

Didn't wanna start a new thread so its a thread revival

Think he had a couple issues with his roof vinyl as it happens- but looked pretty good to me
          Anyone round your way Chris?
My quote was Worthing way- so may go see them this morning

All i would say is use 3M vinyl, better quality and you get a 6 year guarantee on it. Some vinyl after time can shrink in the hot and cold weather as its not been put on right, so you best off paying that little bit extra and getting better quality. If you go on 3M website you can search for 3M wrappers in your area :-)

The ONLY vinyl you should use is the new 3M 1080 Scotchprint - I've used it and I swear by it. It's a little more pricey (as it's the best) but it's definitely worth it

I've not seen or heard of any recommendations around here for vinyl wrapping Chris

The place Lee used is RTS Creative Maidstone.

Cheers Chris- should have texted Lee myself TBH

Anyway- place in Worthing looks fine and only 10 mile away rather than 70 so will chase them up
They were closed- so went and spent £300 on new TV! Ha!

You certainly did Clair- is the 1080 the weave tightness of the carbon fibre effect do you know?

I dont think so as my roof wrap is the 3M 1080 stuff and its not carbon effect, i really dont know what the 1080 stands for tbh
