Roll on 31st August.......

because that's when i get my Dsport + delivered to my home...yesssssss that's correct the 31st August, the story goes like this.
I went into my dealer today to return the the DSport i had over the weekend to test drive, I then asked the dealer if he had got a DSport + in stock so i can see what the interior is like.

The guy said we have just had one in, and it had literally come off the train a few days before, and was now in the inspection workshop. So off we went to have a look, the protective film was still on the roof and all the other bits i.e centre caps ect were all bagged up in boot.

So i had a look around inside ( absolutely love the carbon effect dash) and that new car smell :rolleyes: the guy said he had got it in for someone else to look at, but the would be customer had messed him around and not showed up.

Anyway the dealer said i could have this very model if i wanted, has it was the colour i wanted i said Yessssss please, i then said to the dealer that ididn't want washed and prepped as i want to prep it myself, he said not a problem and said this actually helps him out and for that he gave me the Gard X treatment in a box free of charge, to apply myself, the car itself wasn't that dirty and only had a light covering of dust.

And then the best thing he said was i can have the car delivered to my home address on the 31st August, so that i can spend the day prepping, ready to drive about on 1st Sept. ****ing brilliant, guess i will be going on a midnight drive :cool:

Im praying my dealer lets me have mine on Sept 1st!

Its been built since a week last friday, so plenty of time for it to get to the dealers, but the 1st is a thurs, and one of the gfs mates gets married on the sat so he'd best not try to put me off til then!!

He also said he'd deliver it, as it was actually included in the deal he'd done me, but id rather travel an hour on the train mega excited and pick it up in person!!

I hear what your saying mate, 60 miles is quiet a bit to have on the clock, my dealer is 10 miles from me. So i can live with that.

Nice one Graham, as he already had it I hope you got ££££s off! I'm sure you did you seem a switched on guy! I did for my June delivery.

Like you I've had car's on the 31st ready to go for the 1st, often dealers are pleased to deliver them to your drive on the 31st using trade plates, so they are driving as a motor trader, and it relieves the 'problem' of 20 cars all being collected on the 1st from their premises!

Drive it to Burton, get here 1am, we could be machining at the crack of dawn! Shame the 1st is a weekday....

On Saturday at Autobrite there was a black (Clair's), Red (mine) Sport Plus, so if you come to something we'll have three of the set of four (just need a Yellow to complete the set!)....

Yes Clive I got a deal i am more than happy with ;-)) i have booked off that whole week from work, so plan to do some detailing on my TT, and then wait for the big day when my DS arrives...and lavish it with Werkstat Acylic kit so it will be all sparkling ready to take for a spin at midnight.....cool times

Will defo add my White Sport Plus to the mix at some meet in the future.

Just need to order some dry weather for that week lol
