Impressive figures 48mpg at an average 63mph, you must be driving with the lightest right foot ever
I've just had a long weekend up in Scotland, 360 mile trip each way. The main part of the journey was M11, A14 then A1/A1M to just north of Newcastle, pretty good traffic conditions and averaged just over 44mpg, the last part of the journey was A697 & A68, both mainly single carriageway & through quite a few towns, final figure was 41.4mpg. Return journey with slightly heavier traffic saw 40.8mpg. Both figures were achieved with climate control set to 21 degrees, outside air temp was about 23/24 degrees.
Well my travel to and from work is up and down the M3 and I rarely get the chance to stretch its legs due to the volume of traffic, so I tend to sit with cruise on at about 73MPH, just fast enough to get past lorries etc without having to keep disengaging etc.
