Hope you've got it sorted now - I posted on this when I got mine, but not had the hassle you've had. I had a simple approach, if they didn't want to recognise it, I'd change to one that did (as cancelling a policy is dead easy). Was/Am with Aviva and went through a long phonecall to get it sorted but eventually did.

Admiral, Bell, Elephant all list the DSport Plus on their databases (in fact it appears to be exactly the same database with a different logo on!).

Aviva have added mine manually, after checking with their underwriters - as people above have suggested my reg came up as a regular DSport without the Plus. However I wasn't happy with accepting that as believe me in a significant claim (like a write-off) they'll use that to get out of paying a penny 'oh you insured the wrong model - invalid - bye' (and even if they do pay, market value would be based on a lower model as it isn't the correct one)...

That said, let's not knock the hassle too much - for a car capable of 0-60 in just over seven seconds I can't believe how low the grouping is.......guess it is a low list price though, but even so....

My advice insist it is listed as a DSport Plus.....

Hope to get this sorted today, and will definately insist my insurance papers state DS Sport Plus. If i get no joy with More Than i will try the one's listed in CliveP's thread....need to get this sorted now, i want the car registered as soon as so that i can sit back relax and wait for the 31st August when i have my car delivered.

*** UPDATE***

Finally got it sorted with my existing insurer's MoreThan (and cheapest quote) £467, their underwriters finally saw sense and realised a DSport Plus is a DSport with extra's even though they haven't got the Plus on their data base.

They are going to send me an additional letter with my docs, stating that are aware my car is Plus model and ths will also be on their system just for my peace of mind, so well pleased with the outcome.

A big big thank you to Clair the C/S agent at MoreThan for going the extra mile and and badgering the underwriters to see sense, thanks again Clair, your a star.

I must be getting old, I got quoted £240 initially. By the time I added business, coutesy car, legal cover, £150 total excess, my renewal was £311. I can't believe how cheap these little pocket rockets are to insure!
