Impact from a truck, that will teach me.

Thankyou Royal Mail for cutting up another Truck, causing 4/5 vehicles to slam on (the motorway), and ultimately me escaping with very minor but inconvenient damage. Thats it... 2 second rule has now become 3.

Gutted, but all being sorted, at a great bodyshop thats been recommended.

Only small dent, but heavy scrape. Very small damage to light set (corner chipped slightly)

Bumper has to be totally removed because of loaction of damage. Get it back tomorrow though

Where did you take it for the repair? Some chump decided to reverse rather quickly the wrong way up a one way lane at work as I backed out of a parking space and we hit.
Admiral have told me to take mine to a garage in Bury. I've seen a lot of their courtesy cars driving round so I'm hoping they're good.

It's mainly paint damage but some of the rear bumper plastic has been scraped out so I don't know if they'll replace the bumper or just sand, fill and paint.

i wouldnt be very happy but aslong as your now looked after car's repaired and you get some money for your time you cant complain i guess

All fixed up

Picked the car up yesterday morning.

The front bumper has been fully repaired, filled, painted & baked etc. by a local guy called Mick (Very eperienced guy, been in the trade for many years). Mick was recommeded to me by a very good friend whom is extremely fussy (had 2 lotuses fully respraid by Mick & other cars) - so I knew I would get a job well done.

All work was completed in a day & a half - looks like new!

Yep, it wasn't worth going through the insurance for this - repair was less than my excess (Which is £250). Then you have to take into account it would have wiped my 2year no claims (as they cant be protected - previous company car driver). So PREMIUM would be MASSIVE.

I'm gonna give my garage a ring in a bit to sort mine out (if I take it elsewhere I've got to get 2 estimates and it'll take even longer to sort out) but I'm gonna lose 2 years NCD (down to 3) cos after much fannying about, they've decided it's a 50/50 claim. Such is life.

I would look into cancelling the claim if possible? As it could cost you a lot in your next premium, nevermind the excess!
