I am also from Australia (Queensland) and have nothing but good things to say about my dealership experience. My salesman (Daniel Cunningham, Motoco Townsville) was really friendly, easy to deal with and still rings me to see how I am enjoying the car and if there is anything he can do for me. In fact after
taking my yellow beast fro a run up the highway I managed to get a heap of sticky tar spots on my car that were absolutely impossible to get off. I went and saw Daniel and he gave me a bottle of the best stuff that got the grime off with a simple spray and wipe.

My wife is looking at buying a DS4, and we will definately be going back to Daniel.

Unfortunately customers and sales staff are exactly the same, same are very pleasant and great to deal with, while others are just a down right nightmare.

The other thing I can't believe is that I live in a city of 185,000 people and have had my DS3 (THP 150) since February and although it gets lots of longing stares and admiring glances it is still the only one in town. Makes me feel special, but seriously it such a great car I can't believe there aren't more around.

There is masses of DS3s already. The "Spotted" section of the forum is hilarious. - Its even hilarious on the VX club and there is only 1500 of them driving around. Think it works better with classic forums! In the 25min drive back from the dealer yesterday, i saw another "black" and waved at her as I overtook - she looked confused. I also saw a "white", then another white dstyle round the corner from where i live.

Regarding salesmen - the comment that you need to have swatted up works both ways. The dealer I had a test-drive at didn't know the weight of the car, even approximately, (which is forgiveable), but didn't know the MPG either which is pushing it I'd have thought.

Anyway "South Manchester Citroen" were good, the right level of help, invited me to make an offer, which I did and they accepted. They were also patient when Nationwide repeatedly failed to mail out my loan agreement to sign, and were upfront about being in no way able to match my 6.4% rate when I first mentioned it. They kept in touch without "chasing" me, and threw in a free service for next year that I didn't and wouldn't have asked for just to make me a happy punter.

When i got my DS3 from York the sales men where nice, but they kept pushing me to fill in there online customer report. so i did, i was truthfull in answering there questions. when i next went in to the dealer i got the branch manager quizzing me as to why i answered the questions like i did and wanted me to write a letter to his boss saying i got confused and answered them wrong!!!! not a nice way to treat me at all, since i was on the shop floor with other customers. grrrr
