      tbh at 60mph in 5th gear you'll get 65mpg

but if your on motorways doing 70-80 its about 55-60mpg

i'd go for 110 just for 6th gear

i took my 90 e-hdi to london from cardiff around 170 miles cost me about 16quid then back too

but sport you'll get better cd-player, twin exhaust if thats you lol, nicer wheels, etc.

My last car was a C2 VTS 110 HDi - great car.

The reason I got the 110 dSport I have now was because it has the same engine as the C2 VTS HDi.

My C2 with the 5 speed box got an average of 53mpg but my DS3 gets 57.5mpg. I do 15000 a year. I got 64.5mpg on a long run to the coast of 110 miles, mainly on the A1 and A64 - 75mph on the cruise control.

The DS3 110 dSport is heavier than the C2 VTS HDi but gets better mpg, due to the gearbox. Granted off the mark the DS3 dSport 110 is about half a second slower but the mid range torque is just as good - exactly where you need it.

Get the 110 - great fun and worth the extra money.

Like has already been said you'll get better power delivery in the 110 plus the 6speed box, the 5 speed box like in most french cars is a bit pants. The only reason i personally don't like the e-hdi 90 is that they have messed with the gear ratio's/tuning which has also made it slower plus there's a definite flat spot when changing up when driving "enthusiastically" which wasn't there on the previous 90 hdi. The only plus point to me is that the mpg is better even at 70mph compared to the previous 90 hdi but if you can afford it i would go for the 110.
It wasn't my choice to have the e-hdi as it was an insurance replacement for my written off white edition hdi :/

Not sure where I saw the xls. It's only a couple of mpg higher... to pay off the 2k difference would take me more than a lifetime. Remember you can drive for 20000 miles on 2k of diesel.
