  • Leather Seats

I'm thinking of leather seats, are there any disadvantages to them (apart from the cost) .

If you go for the DSport Plus you'll get them as part of the extras and won't effectively be too much extra. So far I've not noticed any downsides with them.

Cold in the winter? Hot in the summer when its been sat in the sun . . . . .

Would the leather need feeding? I know when my Mum had her Golf my job on Sundays was to treat the leather.

It squeaks when sitting and moving in the seat . . . .

Thats it from me! (so rubbish, but I try!)

If you have kids it way easer to clean up all the stuff spilled on them.

The stretch marks on leather where you butt cheeks have been ain't cool....

On the UK spec DS3 the leather is not heated and remember that you will need to 'feed' the leather on a regualr basic in order to stop the leather from wearing and cracking. Another point to note is the leather fitted is soft and is prone to be pierced so watch those studded jeans.

Have noticed on a couple of the early DS3 that the leather, where it has been ignored, has already started to crack and split on the o/s bolster.
