We just had a random bloke (wearing a shellsuit and driving a clapped out astra...... make of that what you will) knock on our door and ask if we wanted our car windows etching with their reg numbers.
I thought this sort of thing died out ages ago.
And just to add to my suspicions he didn't bother with our neighbours.

Why would you even want your reg etched on the car windows? Only number thats important is the VIN number and that should already be on the car.

To be honest he was probably just trying to make a few quid trying to flog a now outdated service.

Relax mate, it's as likely to go off the drive tonight as much as any other night, and it's insured.....

Haven't you heard of that nefarious gang of cut throats and thieves that slinks around in the middle of the blackest night stealing all the glass form your cars? It's shocking I tell you, shocking!

I'm not that familiar with criminal etiquette - but I don't think that they generally knock on your door and introduce themselves before they steal your car

If they can get a peek inside your house, they might be able to see a key holder stuck on the wall near the door, or keys in a pot on a sideboard in the hall. Therefore making it easier for them to find your keys when they break into your house.

Obviously they've disguised themselves in their red shellsuit. Their alibi when they come to being arrested is that it can't be them because they were wearing a blue shellsuit that day.

davemartin01 - NOT ANOTHER ONE!! but on the plus side, if shellsuit man is looking particularly for a DS3 atleast he'll have plenty to choose from.
