  • Is this price misleading?

Having just ordered my DStyle+ Vti 120 manual and got what I thought was the best deal around (having used three dealers) I have just found this link quoting an OTR price of £14115 (£1080 less than Citroens list price), before the £1500 discount, leaving a net cost of £12615.

    http://www.thamesmotorgroupoffers.co...57/citroen-ds3

However, it does say FROM and whilst it reads as the DStyle+ Vti 120 it could be misleading and the finance figures quoted for a lesser model.

I've e-mailed them to confirm the figures, which if correct will be worth me cancelling my existing order and losing my deposit and placing a new order.

No doubt, if its too good to be true it wont be correct.

    Watch this space!

I agree with you that it does seem too good to be true, but I'm also aware that companies offering finance deals and the like need to be really transparent with what they claim.

On top of this, I'm pretty sure that the £1,500 deposit allowance is only available on plus models with a petrol engine - so the example they are giving is either a DStyle+, or (unlikely) a DSport+.

Unless somewhere along the way my logic has gone mad!

You need to do more searching Mr C. That model is available for £13661, £699 dep with £1500 from Citroen. it's according to who you want to deal with. Even with this company I believe the order goes to your local dealer. newcitroendeals.co.uk.

If all dealers were like Biggy I'd stick with them but you can always use the site as bargaining power

I was getting dizzy searching the internet for the best deal, but obviously didn't dig deep enough.

Are you saying that I can pick up a DStyle Plus Vti 120 petrol for £12161 OTR using Elect3? If so, please enlighten me as to where as all savings, especially this much, are very welcome.

          UPDATE

Have just received an e-mail confirming the price for a DStyle+, Sports Red, Black roof and carpet mats as £14155, less Citroen contribution of £1500, giving a net to finance on Elect 3 of £12655.

However, have been advised of another dealer who can bring it in at £12398, after Citroens contribution.

Your secondhand one for £102 more than a new one from the dealer!

Let me think about that and get back to you.

                        Don't hold your breath now.

Apologies for a later post, overlooked the website address you provided. However, their price is £14096 in Sports Red, or £12596 after the £1500 contribution and that probably excludes the £120 roadside assistance which they add on to the finance agreement.

Still I think I've got the best deal that I can find now.

                          Or does anyone know better?

With the way the network chops these cars you'll find that the current value of your is going to be well below that.

CAP sees your car sitting at about £11,000
