  • Car back into the dealer....

    Well my e-hdi is back in for the recurring engine fault. It had a part replaced last time, something to do with pre-heat but it's still pulling up an engine fault and making a weird fizzing/crackling noise from around the ignition/dials binnacle. It's weird as it only makes the noise once and only at turning the ignition from a cold start and is often accompanied by an engine fault warning.
    Atleast i have a decent courtesy car ....yellow/black dstyle vti120. Feels strange driving a petrol again after driving diesels since feb lol, definitely prefer the hdi (even in slightly underwhelming e-hdi flavour).

      That had crossed my mind but it's a hard one to explain to the service dept as it doesn't always make the noise and doesn't always throw up an engine fault.
