on another note i will say make sure ya phone's charged or if ya rich keep a camera in the car as if ever ya in a fender bender or full carnage make sure u get pics of the other car + passengers if any as it looks better on you when they are trying to claim for peeps that was'nt in the car @ the time then they get stung by their insurance.

Well as an update to original post. The car has been at the body shop for two weeks now. I was supposed to pick it up tomorrow and I rang to confirm and happened to mention how my dealer is VERY keen to get the list of repairs carried out and have my car in straight away for a check up and all of a sudden my car is now not ready for collection as they now say they are not happy with the colour match. So a respray is to be carried out.

Why do I feel a bit concerned? I hope I am being over sensitive as the car was 10 days old and I have made it clear iam expecting nothing less than brand new car show room quality. Good news is that the rear driver has accepted full liability.

I would look at that as a win. The repair shop realized that the car would be scrutinized by you and the dealer so they are putting there shoddy work right.

Referring back to the mentions of having a camera, preferably not a digital one! Different situation like, but i was jumped one night by 2 guys in a nightclub broken nose, black eye etc and i had photo's on a digital camera of my face/head but they apparently weren't acceptable as they could be altered....what a load of bollocks! ended up going to a professional photographer (which was paid out of the compo i eventually received!) Tho it may be different with vehicle injury claims...
