  • Oxidation black alloy

I noticed what looked like grey/white glue near the centre of my rear alloy today. Asked a mechanic friend to have a look and he said it looked like oxidation.

I took the car to the local Citroen dealer who took some close up photos and initially thought it was something stuck to the alloy. Someone from the service department put stain remover liqued on to a cloth and tried to remove it, this had no effect.

The dealer is going to download the images and have a close up look tomorrow and get some other opinions.

Any body else had this on their alloys?

I used ACF-50 when the centre caps were put into the new wheels, and they're coming off for the winter and being replaced with steels and winter tyres, which will hopefully save them corroding.

I couldn't see Citroen giving me two more sets before the guarantee runs out

Seriously good stuff have been using it for years in the aviation business.
