There's an economy spreadsheet here including people's mpg - I get a 'real' (not onboard computer but actual miles driven / fuel used calculation) of about 36mpg out of my 150 THP - very pleased - I always find I get circa 20% less than the stated manufacturer combined which is about the same in the DS3 case - it is in fact the first car where I can better that if I want to....
http://ds3club.co.uk/showthread.php?...omy+experiment
The trip computer is about 10% overstated on the achieved mpg (in my car)...

My VTi averaged 38.54 mpg in its first year (9735 miles). The best I've had from a tankful is 43.98, the worst is 32.52 - that was only a top-up after about 100 miles of mainly very short runs last December, so it's not as accurate a figure as a complete fill-up, but it's probably about as low as it will ever go. I did notice a small improvement in fuel consumption at around 6,000 miles. The higher figure represents a lot of motorway driving.
As far as the trip computer's concerned, I find it pretty accurate - within one or so mpg of the brim-to-brim figure, either above or below.

http://www.fuelly.com used this on the last motor and is pretty good also u can add link to your fuel consumption to be shown in your signature partial fill ups are handy if you don't fill the tank all of the time .. another good tip is top up in the morning as you will get a little more fuel for your money ..There are old pilots, There are bold pilots but there are no old bold pilots

Thanks everyone for your replies! I was worried cos I was sure the bloke who sold me the car said it would do about 70mpg but maybe I misheard!!
I get about 38mpg out of mine now which isn't too bad and that's when I have fun with my drivingI did have to turn off the "miles left to petrol station" thing as I kept looking at it to make sure it wasn't changing too much but it was a bit too distracting. Silly thing!

Averaged 36.6mpg over 4500 miles, best figure so far was 48mpg on a steady run of nearly 300 motorway miles, this dropped to an average of 44mpg after the last 70 miles of the journey which was on twisty A roads. This is the best car I've owned, economy & perfomance wiseDS3 Racing, also available in White!!!

Took my 1.6DSYTLEPLUS EHDI90 for its first long drive this weekend, had it for 3months.
i did a 500mile round trip, drove at approx 70mph give or take and used less than a tank of fuel, think i had a quarter tank left.
But silly me forgot to reset the mpg indicator, so the next question is.........
was this a good economic journey or a fuel guzzling exercise??Last edited by Ablyth; 22-01-2012, 15:59.sigpic
