Just thought i would keep you all updated on the progress of the "workhorse" 110 HDI DSport.
It was 1 year old at the end of last month & the mileage today is 46422.
I can still report that the car still flatly refuses to do anything wrong!!
I have one small niggle in that the Bluetooth sometimes disables & I only have the radio function available on the stereo system but this has only happened a small handful of times & an engine off then on usually clears it. My dealer is having a quick peek at it now.
It is having it's first set of rear tyres as we speak & it had it's third set of fronts last month.
All brake pads are the originals & are approx 60% worn at last service.
The longest distance in 1 day I have driven is 612 miles & could still walk upright at the end of it such is the comfort of the car.
The only mod I have done (it is a company car so I cannot go mad) is to fit a pair of brighter bulbs from Halfords to replace the originals when one blew.
It still has it's boot full of tools & spares every day but this does not detract from the handling in any way.
If I was being really, really picky then I would like the ESP/ABS system to let me left foot brake a bit harder in the wet before cutting in as I do this all the time to pin the front end down during sharp cornering & sometimes need to go further than just limiting the understeer & need to square a corner off using oversteer, like I said this is only when really pressing on in wet conditions.
My job as a Service Engineer still takes me to most parts of the country & I will always try & drive to sites rather than fly (went to Ireland last week via ferry) so I can seek out some great roads.
I still love the car & look forward to driving it every day, such fun.
