Thanks for the earlier comments regarding petrol for my new DS3, much appreciated. Went back to dealer yesterday as had asked for a space-saver wheel as my wife is not happy that in 10 days we will drive to Spain with possibly only the foam. Car was showroom model and we picked it up MOnday afternoon.
Parts manager now informs me that they are unable to get the tyres for the spacesaver and have a list of customers waiting for citroen to sort out the issue. I admit I have never considered that the wheel (which they can get) comes seperate from the tyre - how strange.
Upshot is that we will probably have to stick with the foam as we are not back in UK until April next year (will try to source one in Spain) and my wife is very unhappy as we have a lot of miles to travel in the pretty much wilderness of inland spain.
Are we being told a few porkies or is this a fact??
