Thinking about a ds3

Hi im new to the forum

I have a 60plate seat ibiza at the moment but having a lot of trouble with it, been in the garage twice in the last 700miles. Ive seenthe ds3 around and looks like a nice car. Got a few questions though.

What is the reliability like? Im thinking about the dstyle+, what is the oetrol engine like? Is it reaponsive and have good fuel economy? Is there any remaps out? What kind of bhp can you achieve with it?

Would you recomend a ds3?

Secondly, the I have the Dstyle 120 and she is ok, I'd swap her for a Dsport 110 with the knowledge from these guys and the problems with the 150 petrol. and the want for her to be faster, but thats me just being greedy

Mine has never missed a beat, she's responsive enough and good to chuck around corners and have fun with!

Fuel economy - think my average is about 44ish for my daily drive of 50 miles - but I do a lot of stop starts at lights etc. My review at 16k miles is in my sig below, might help, has some more info in.

I got my DStyle+ last Thursday and although I haven't had a lot of time with it yet, I'm very impressed with it.

As to recommending it, a definite YES.

I had a look on the Citreon website and it seems to be cheaper going for a dstyle+ rather than a dstyle. Im going to see what happens with my current car, but also got a test drive in the ds3 later this week. So i will see what happens.

I'd Definitely! recommend a DS3 especially the 110hdi its pretty quick for a diesel and surprises a few people you will not regret it especially the first time you get someone looking at your car and then you come up and unlock it! Makes you feel pretty special

I save my frogs for those who put their LED's on with their headlights or ask about it!

As for residuals I have already worked out my 'told you so' face for Feb 2013. The scary drop the DS faced this month is a clear sign of how the market is going.

I just sold my 525d BMW msport for a DSport hdi 110 and it's not far short or the bmws power. Ok it's half weight and size and bit short on torque but it's a awesome little motor.
I still have my clk55 Amg for the weekends but I love being able to whip it about unlike the 5 that was like a lounge on wheels at times lol

Can't comment on the petrol version as only had a diesel in mind.

Avoid it like the plague, if you have made your mind up that you want a DS3 then make sure you buy the Diesel engine.
