  • Ouch a little mishap

On the way to work I had a argument with a stretch of icy road which caused a little mishap. Basically dead straight piece of road had caused a vehicle to end up at 90 degrees and two cars stop and two did not in time, one being mine and causing over £5000 in damage to my DS3. It will take three weeks to repair depending on parts availability. Its an expense way to get the stone chips that were on the bonnet repaired :-)

                Holy shit!

I would have cried. Glad to hear you are ok

Apart from the ice etc and not being able to prevent that side if things - did you feel safe? I know when I dinked my C3 I felt really safe and had no hesitations about getting back behind the wheel after she was repaired.

Yes felt totally safe and knew fairly quickly it was going to be painfull. I tried to reduce as much speed as possible and avoid the oncoming lorry but also aim for the point of least painful impact to the car in front which had just finished skidding and already had impact. The good thing is the air bags did not go off so have reduced enough speed and caught the rignt part of the car. Phoned Broach Hill a garage I have used for years and ask them to recover the car and bring a loan car at the same time (C3 for those that are interested). They arrived within an hour with a car ready fueled up to go. Was only two hours late for work.
