  • Oh, Hello Slight Hesitation

Seems my DS THP is developing a dislike to accelerating in 2nd, i can definitely feel it holding back like a missfire

Checked for codes using my reader, but none present and none pending, so i guess it'll have to progress

4500 miles done 61 plate, is this my introduction to the land of the THP problems i wonder...

Change the fuel to tesco 99 and see what happends if that dont help could be the start of a timing chain failure .

the same has just happend to me on a 10 plate car

no fault codes ever showing car was always slow from new but I could never compair back to back cars

Mine has just had about 20 new items fitted to the timingchain assy under warrenty and the car flys now never been this fast

Always use Shell, isnt a fueling issue

Doubt it'll be a stretched chain at 4.5k, maybe ill just live with it

Get it looked at, the timing chain issue is brought on by a week chain tensioner. At the minimum you will provide the dealer with some history of the problems if it fails later.
