The other big thing we'll all missing here is that the price of the DS3 has risen quite a bit from the start, I remember when DSports where from £15,900, now they start from £16,800.
...I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!
Bought my Dstyle 90 HDI 14 months ago and paid no deposit. Payments are £255 a month with 18000 miles per year and final payment of £6,000. The car included City signature package (Bluetooth, HiFi sound system, USB box etc) and roof decal.
Really pleased with the deal and now looking at what is available in spec I think things have changed not only in price but what you get for your money. Surprised that the Dstyle+ does not even have Bluetooth as standard for example.

My dsport hdi is 277 per month x 36 with 25k miles allowed; put 3k down but wish I had not put as much down, Ive done 23k miles now after 12 months and looking to change but only just breaking even on value of my ds3 against what i've been offered will cost me another £60 a month on top to get into a new one .
Drove a DS4 which was lovely on the motorway but residuals seem to be far worse than the DS3?!
I couldn't fix yer brakes so I made your horn louder!

Now that I've got mine, the more they charge the better
But what you have done instead is given up some consumer rights plus eaten into your credit rating with the bank. Yes you may legally own the car, but technically the bank can claim it as an asset if it all goes pear shaped.
Sorry to drag up this old thread, but can you go into further detail about this because I haven't decided how I am going to finance my car if I buy a DS3?
Basically all he was saying is that with the Elect 3 option, the car isn't technically yours unless after the 3 years you decide to pay the rest off. With taking a loan out through the bank the car is bought up front so yes, it is yours. The only thing is that, as with any finance type thingy (technical, i know) the thing which you are paying off is an asset they can reposess if you fall behind on your payments. 6 and two 3s really in my eyes!
Brought my Dstyle+ Vti from Perry's as they have a great deal on this quarter on DS3's. Take a butchers at their website. I went with Elect 3, I even got 3yrs servicing, Guard X, mats and a full tank of petrol thrown in. Nil deposit and £241 a month.
All in all I was pleased with my deal as it suits me.
