    hey y'all

we are 3 months in from ownership with our ds3 1.6 e-hdi dstyle and have covered just over 3000 miles.

if i can remember correctly the quoted extra urban mpg is around the 76 mark.

we are averaging 57.6.......when does the car loosen up so we can expect to get nearer the 76 mark??

    cheers

There is some info re mpg here:

Are you going by the figures given by the car?

There are some real mpg's in the spreadsheet in this thread:

          Never gonna get 76mpg

In real life calculations your probably getting nearer 50mpg if you're going off what the car says

Cars are tested in the strictest of conditions and nothing like everyday driving conditions. I normally say knock 25% off the claimed MPG

Not had a chance to fill it up yet as still on the first tank but hope it loosens up and gets better, it's no more economical than a 2ltr tdci focus at the moment, possibly worse if the 25% rule works. Was one of the main reasons for getting it was the mpg figures

Wow 57.6mpg is amazing! I have around 2500 miles on clock and only averaging 49.5 and this doesn't go up even when on motorway!

i've got 1.6 hdi airdream d style plus, 1000 miles on the clock and i'm getting 46.3mpg. was quite dissapointed as knew i wouldn't get 76 but was hoping for 50-55mpg. but then again what i'm getting is much better than my Astra Twintop sport as i was only getting 30.9 mpg.

If I can get it doing around 60 average I'll be happy, figures for the e-hdi 110 shouldn't be that far off what they say, pointless having those figures, old car combined was 52 combined and was getting 48-50 in real world working out. First trip to work in it tomorrow so will see what I mange, car only has 350 miles on it do far so expect it to improve
