  • Door seal

The black trim that runs under the car along the seals has fallen off on 2 occasions. I do drive down rough country lanes but surely they should not drop off when you hit a bump. Dealer wants to charge me over £100 to supply and no fee to fit, however I don't see why I should pay, anybody else had issues

Not with door trim, surely this is under warranty?

My passenger seatbelt broke and was replaced FOC etc. Maybe go to another dealership? Mine wasn't repaired at the same place I got her from.

Yep, the sill trim on the nearside of mine failed and came loose, although it didn't fall off altogether. Dealer fixed mine under warranty (along with one front and both rear wheel arch liners). It seems its the fixings
      that are prone to failing.

Unless yours show signs of damage I don't see why they would want to charge you to fix it?

Ours fell off at one end, managed to re-arrange the clips and put it back on.. went to garage they said they couldn't replace/fix it under warranty but they give me a full set of clips for £1.80 and I did it myself, 5min jobby

I Took It To Dealer And They Said They'd Had One Or 2 Back Where The Strips Had Come Off At One End And Been Dragging On The Floor,

They Refitted Mine For Free There And Then, Took About 10 Mins !

Its Happened To A Few On This Site And Everyones Had It Done Under Warranty !

When you go into your dealer they will assess your claim and then put that forward to Citroen to validate. What we don't know here is if there was damage to your trim (you said you hit a bump) and what the response was from Citroen. No dealer can under take work before being authorised to do so unless they are prepared to do the job as good will.

You could go to another dealer but the report of the first incident will be on the file for your chassis. Again it could be that your dealer is being lazy and never put forward a claim thinking that it would be rejected anyway.

Thought I would update you I went to dealer who looked for various clips to fit, I left the car with them they called me and advised they could not help, and I would need to pay £150 to have a new part fitted, I was furious I only needed the clips. I must admit to raising my voice on the phone to which I was advised this was not a known problem. I went to the dealer armed with my I pad and showed them these posts I then asked for the complaints process at Citroen. They then said they would do it under warranty, thanks to all those who posted saving me a shed load

Same thing happened to my wife's car today.
Rang dealer, took the car in and they did it whilst I waited.Only had the car a month......an ex demo.
Salesman said he'd heard of one other, but the chap in the service department hadn't seen it before.
