Unable to zero trip distance recorder

For some reason the dashboard display has changed to how many miles till next fill up . Previously I could zero my trip distance recorder but pressing the button doesn't bring up zero miles anymore ?

Just press the button once, without holding it down, to toggle between trip & range readings.

As above make sure that the trip is being shown and then press and hold the button down, what will happen is the trip will switch to zero and then flash, keep holding the button down until the flashing stops.

That's how it used to work but for some reason it switched to displaying range and didn't seem to want to go back again . After about 10 attempts I got it to switch back to trip meter .

Mine stopped working for a while then when i last filled up i pressed it once till it flashed then once again an it worked. Thats the first time iv got it to work for the better part of a year, it even kept tripping its self at random times back to zero!!!

If you press the button in quite firmly (without holding it) it changes from range remaining to distance travelled
