    Open the door and look at the sill trim, specifically where it joins the other part of the plastic trim. From memory, lift the longer part away (towards the car seat) and it should unclick, once you have the trim removed you should be able to get your hand in under the carpet and reattach the clips. As said above you may find this happens a fair bit though as the clips sit above quite a large space which seems to allow them to move about

        That worked thanks & found the solution sandwich a CD between the underside of the carpet acting like a large washer & the ring then push on , the disc needs to be cut down a bit & the hole in increased slightly which can be done by spining it round on a kitchen knife . This now prevents the useless stud coming through the hole again
