Gearbox

Hi there i am wanting to know if i can put a 6 speed box on my car. I have a 2012 1.6 vti petrol. Any help would be much appreciated. Tia

Probably not worth it in terms of cost, you'll never make it back in MPG saved and the VTi can pretty much hit top speed in 4th. Not sure how it would mess with the sensors with reverse gate being in a different place or the shift indicator when an extra gear is added.

If you want to go to the expense of putting a THP gearbox in, may as well just put a THP engine in and get the power increase too.

Take the money you would spend and invest it, in a couple of years when you get a better car, pull it out and spend it on that car instead.
