Hi everyone Looking into buying a DS3 D style plus 90 e Hdi white black roof not looking to win the traffic light grand prix looking more towards good MPG is there any issues with the DPF

The watchdog thread is about fiat 500 but only interested in DS3 90 hdi i do understand they don't like short stop start town driving and what's this additive that's used to clear the DPF
I have tried the search thing looking for DPF issues but nothing comes up does that mean there are no reported issues?????????

well will say 3275 miles in. just over 4 months old. and the service light came on today with warning that the filter might get clogged. so did what i ad to do blast it down the motorway nice 40 mile round trip @ 50-70mph. well enjoyed lol and the service lights now out so simple fix really but will keep me eye on it and keep u guys posted

normal dpf regen to be driven for 20mins @ a constant speed of 40mph so dual carriageways/motorway needed lol

I had a new Seat Ibiza 1.6 tdi last year fitted with the Vw/audi group engine. I got rid because I was sick of the DPF light always coming on no matter whether i did long or short trips. This engine is notorious so i am lead to believe? I have had a few PSA diesel engines and never (touch wood) had any problems with the hdi90 or the 110hdi in the past or currently in my DS3 :cool:
