I bought my DS3 130 prestige new 18 months ago, at first the stop start worked fine but it has not worked at all for over a year now, I presumed it was covered under warranty, my dealer said as the eco light is flashing it is ok and if they check it I will have to pay if they find nothing wrong, I declined this so nothing happened, when it had it's first service in November I asked again and got the same response, is this common on these cars it seems to me they are just fobbing me off, this is the third new car from this dealer there will not be a fourth, car has only done 5,000 miles but when it last worked it had only done 1,500, they just told me to take it on a long run

There are numerous senarios as to why S/S doesnt cut in. most popular occurances are:
if your Heating is set to Low or High (set to 14-28 - SS should work)
A/C is on
Door is open
Engine running, in gear and foot on the clutch. (needs to be in neutral and foot off clutch)
first few minutes of engine starting
Battery voltage low (anything like A/C, Headlights, and Heated Seats can affect it too)

STOP/START issues. Just posting for info really:
Stopped working about 12 months ago. great. Hate it anyway.
3 months ago in December 2022, not only does it not work but a warning light sounds on start up " ECO disconnected" and SERVICE orange light remains on all time
After investigation and running a code checker thru: its the stop start capacitor located under the passenger wing.
Took to a specialist to confirm
It was confirmed
So, its pricey. £200 for the capacitor alone before fitting, AND its a dealer only fix. Dealer wants £150 to look, even though i know the problem
Then they may have to reprogramme the ECU to accept the new part, more money
Trouble financially. Will report back on cost
Cars only worth £2k. 12 plate edhi 110 DSport.
