  • DS3 Racing in South Africa

    Hi all,

Thanks for the acceptance, me being from South Africa.
After reading numerous posts here, it makes me terrified for what I'm about to do here in SA... I'm contemplating buying a 2013 DS3 Racing with 46000km on the clock.

Is this a wise decision or must I stay away???? There were only 10 of these imported to SA, making them very limited

    Thanks for reading

Hi. Stay away!! Citroen South Africa ended up buying back all 10 from initial owners because of these tech issues compounded by our bad fuel and hot climate.I drive a 2016 121kw THP Sport. No probles so far (20k km) but have a terrible noisy aircon that is supposed to be normal according to Citrien SA.

The Racing has to be run on 98+ octane fuel. What fuel grades do you get in SA?

Thanks, I used to be a DP at a Citroen/Peugeot dealership up to just before these units came in....
Will see if I can confirm with some of the folk that used to be at PCSA at the time.
Will also check with my technician of the time, as he was one of the best in SA at the time.....
