  • Taking out Elect 3 finance then paying it off after a month or two?

Ok, so ive put in a request through an online broker newcitroendeals.co.uk...
Got an email back pretty much straight away, after a few emails back and forth, I made it clear I wouldnt be interested in finance, the guy told me if i took out elect 3 Id get a further £1000 off the quoted price, and all i had to do was 'pay it off after a month or two' and that a few of his customers had done exactly that, saving them a few hundred pounds off the price quoted.
Does anyone know if theres any truth in this? Surely the final price would be higher anyways with interest and fees etc? and would there be fees for paying off the finance early? Thanks :-)

Nice to see the online broker stabbing his paymasters in the back....

There is nothing to stop you settling the finance early and there is no penalty to do so, the only thing is that if you do it within the first three months the dealer you use is fined. You would need a full working Elect3 example to see what the figures would be, any rebate is normally up to £200.

I'm pretty sure Clive paid off his Elect3 a month or so after getting his car from newcitroendeals.
