Pearlescent DS3's

Ive been looking for either a Techno, DSire or DSPort plus in the pearlescent white paint which i like, and the THP Turbo engine which is a must. Bit bored with the Bellones and quite liked the Aphrodite wheels, and love those new style headlamps. Will only buy from a dealership with warranty, and will get an extended one at that.

So, Ive considered and test driven 3- still love the drive

1 had an mileage discrepency between the MOT and the service manual (By over 12 k miles) so dropped that one
The second had lots little marks over it like tree sap, you had to look reasonably close to see it. Discussed with the dealer, and they said they would send to their paintshop for comment, and theyve never got back to me.... and took it off sale
Went to Maidstone yestday to look and test drive the best one yet- loved it. But on closer inspection the same problem with the paint, lots tiny little bubbles. They took it round their paintshop and suggested it was because moisture was in the air when to top coat pearlescent lacquer was applied. Could be a whole batch that was affected apparently.

Another in Portsmouth I was chasing, they prepped it for a week, then phoned me to tell me it hadnt reached specification, and had sent it back to where it come from???? I explained the paintwork problem and he said it was the same problem....

Has anyone else experienced this problem with the paintwork- and if you have pearlescent paint maybe go have a look (And consider a claim)

The Lacquer on our whisper purple car had circles in it, but given the bumpers didn't fit, the Aphrodites turned to rust in 6 months and the lights kept letting water in I figured it was just the way they were.

Strangely the Romanian built c3 has panels that fit the car, wheels that (so far) have survived and a paint finish like glass. The lights still let water in though..because it's not a Citroen without something to be going back to the dealer about.
