Help with ds3 puchase

Hi all,

im looking at a 2017 ds3 prestige 1.2 130. I saw it yesterday at the dealers and it looks and goes great.

the windows are heavily tinted rear is like a limo tint and front quite dark too. Dealers claim this is factory fit as they arent allowed to sell anything modified, anyone aware of a model derivative like this? I think its had an aftermarket tint.

I have the 2017 diesel version of the prestige in black (with white roof). The rear windows are tinted by DS themselves. My last DS3, a 2015 1.2 petrol also had the same tinting so I'd say it's standard on all DS3's because in reality, you're not going to be having rear passengers all too often.

Thank you. From what i can tell from seeing other cars online tinted is standard and looks good but the tint on this is dafkwr than anything else ive seen, im not fussed by the back its the front side windows which look borderline illegal. Are your front windows tinted?

No my front ones aren't tinted, got another black car parked next to it and I'd just washed the car to it's like a mirror. The black strips on top are wind deflectors which are tinted but they don't come with a DS3.

Maybe a previous owner tinted the front ones to try and blend them in with the standard back ones?

Thanks. I really like the car and rhe dealer is close to home. Gonna ask them to gwt a technician to attack the glas and see if theres a film that can bw removed.

Just to finish this off, they have confirmed a tinting film is on the glass and are taking it off. I pick up the car tomorrow - happy days!

This became a nightmare some kind of issue with the v5 and would need to wait 4 weeks. Have ended up buying a 2016 1.2 130 prestige in ink blue. Looks gorgeous picked it up earlier, will put some pics on in the morning. Thanks all for your support.
