  • Opinions on a DS3...

    Hi all,
Been reading on here for a while about the DS3 and stuff and i really like it. Now, i have a car i also love a lot and yesterday i went to a dealer who had a nice ink blue DS3 with the xenon/led headlights and fell in love.
I asked to do a part ex knowing my car had a higher value and they were more than happy to pay me the difference so i went for a test drive and really liked it.
Today, as of now i went in my own car to work and i don't know why, but i am not too sure anymore about going ahead even though i paid a 200quid deposit to pick up friday.
My car is a TT Sline 2011 and the reasons behind wanting a smaller car are obvious, fuel, tax nil on the DS3, cheaper insurance and newer 2015.
My friends think i'm bonkers to do that and even though i don't care what they say, i am having some serious second thoughts.
I'll appreciate your honest opinions as i need to decide before friday.

Well, it's just personal preference really.

I'm on my second DS3 and I like the unique element to it all. I'm sure other owners will say the same but I feel as if my car stands out from others.

I've driven an A3 (ok not a TT S line) and it didn't have half of the kit my car does and felt very basic.

I've done 28K miles in my car and I've only had it a year but it's been up and down the country literally, and hasn't let me down and has been great to drive throughout whether it was motorway driving or going round the Highlands.

The cheeky remap gave it a extra kick too which is always an option if you feel you're missing that extra bhp.

Horses for courses and were you thinking of getting shut of the audi because wear and tear is kicking in? (I bet that aint cheap).

Welcome no matter what you do!

no, i want the ds3 because i just wanted a smaller, cheaper to run car and as i don't really like the usual small cars, the ds3 is the only one i like the look and the kit inside and out. The TT is still in immaculate condition and it had been serviced and looked after since it was made.

I guess never having had a diesel before, the sound of the engine put me off but to be honest it wasn't noisy like i thought diesel cars sound like. well i have today and tomorrow to really make up my mind, friday is the day i part with the TT and bring the DS3

depends why you want the DS3- if its to get you about, and be a general working car, then the DS3 will save, save, save.

If you want a smaller, cheaper, cheaper to run, stylish, great looking car, with plenty of toys and fun to drive. You've picked the right one in the DS3. IMO anyway.

sounds retarded but i just can't wait. 4 hours to go. Will be taking a detour to get there in Turtle (TT name that is) for a final drive and another detour with turtle junior on way back. (Turtle Jr is the DS's name btw)
