  • New DS3 owner

Thought I would introduce myself just bought my first DS3 last week it’s a bluehdi dstyle.

I was washing it at the weekend and noticed a couple of bubbling paint marks on the drivers door and where the mirror meets the door.

Also my wheels have got little white marks beside the centre caps. One wheel does have a mark on the diamond cut part of the wheel tried polish and it won’t budge seems like it’s under the laquer.

Another problem is my mood lighting in the footwell and under the heater controls don’t seem to work but I see the led bulb sitting there.

I have contacted my local Citroen dealer and need to go in so they can take photos.

Apart from that enjoying thae car.

    Thanks

    Welcome!

Regarding the bubbling paint marks, this is a common problem within the area you have stated. All you have to do is search 'bubbling paint' on here and you'll find various threads.

I hope you get it all on sorted at Citroen's expense, best of luck.

Hi and welcome to the club and forum. The paint bubbles near the wing mirror are a known issue as Ohmygoditsme has said above. Depending on how old your DS3 is, will depend on whether Citroën or DS fix it for you. Anything 4 years or older that hasn't had the anti-perforation checks done and you will be struggling to get them to do anything about it.

The white marks near the centrecaps are also a known issue and that's corrosion from trapped water. Again if you're in warranty, you're covered, if you're not, you MAY get them to cover some of the cost of replacements or having them fixed.

The mood lighting may just be a blown fuse, easy enough to sort out if it is.

Welcome to the world of DS3 ownership. They have their faults, as all other cars do, but they are a belting motor if you look after them properly.

The warranty runs out in January so should be fine, the centre one comes on then flickers and switches off, but the footwell doesn’t light up at all will have a look at it when am home.

What’s best to a get a little more power out of it?? I was thinking panel filter and a remap??

Is is there anything else that I should be looking out for before the warranty runs out?

        Thanks

Get all the issues fixed in warranty first, then when its ran out, defo go for a panel filter and remap. I've got both on my e-HDi and it's a total blast and is a much better car for having them.

Welcome! - I had the bubbling described on my driver's door. DS claim that the newer models shouldn't suffer from it but clearly they do... the bubble was about the size of a 5p and in the end, they replaced the whole door!

Defo get it done under warranty without delay.
