Depends what tyres you've got on. Independent tests on Potenzas say they're crap in the snow, and that's been my experience too. I couldn't even get out of my drive last year - first time that's happened in 20+ years, in any car. No grip whatsoever. Mind you, my fronts were down to about 4mm at that stage. They may perform better in snow when they're newer (while still being poor, relatively speaking).
