Front wishbones...wtf!!!

Hey guys

Has anyone removed the front wishbones before? I've got all the bolts out but can't seem to free the ball joint from the hub... I've spent hours on it so far any help would be appreciated

Did you manage to get this sorted? Would never have attempted this myself tbh, as I don't have the skills to do so.

No funky not yet, she's still up on stands on the drive looking sorry for herself.
ive done plenty of jobs like this on previous cars mostly vag stuff but I'm stumped. There's some sort of metal plate above the ball joint. Don't want to get into taking front discs off I'm considering rebuilding as is and running into my local grease monkey

Any pictures so i can see what you mean? Front suspension is horrible to get apart on the ds3/c2's...
