  • Facebook Group?

Was wondering why I don't get any more news about the ds3 facebook group. Took me a while to understand, that the whole group seems to be gone. Don't know why somebody completely deleted it, but will there be a new one, or is it time to get another group?

A few changes to the people running the Club (Joni/ WTF leaving) I would expect
Takes quite a lot of work running the various social media outlets for a car club, so cant blame them winding down TBH

Joni hasn't been on here for 8 months or so, so guess she isn't involved at all

I never understood the love affair with Facebook at all- never go near it me, and am glad I dont

Ah..… those years gone by, and the stories I could tell

Well, so I guess I find a new group. Still it is strange, the group admin was sharing lots of events and was selling lots of decals trough this group. Also there was no information of this group getting closed, morw of the opposite, admin was in a little fight just a few weeks go with kind of a "rival" facebook group over the way, mods are deleting postings there. From what I can say, there was absolutely not the slightest note of the biggest DS3 group on facebook getting closed soon. Well, whatever ist the cause, I'll find another one...

To answer the original question of this thread, the official DS3Club.co.uk group on Facebook can be located here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/DS3Club.co.uk/ It hasn't been removed and is more active than ever. Not to be confused with the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ds3club.co.uk/ Which is mostly used for official announcements. There is also a (fairly) active Discord server, which you can join here.

To address some of the things that Chris said: Joni is very much alive and well, running everything DS3Club single-handed. I'm not sure where you got your information Chris but you're categorically wrong in your statement regarding management changes. I couldn't comment on her exact reasons for not being active on the forum itself but I would imagine it's due to the fact the forum hasn't been as active recently as it once was. Most people now ask their questions on the Facebook group.

I hope this answers the questions raised and if you need any more info, please let me know.

Nice one! Thanks for that info BeefMasta.

Also Craddoc, you can always ask questions on here. This forum isn't dead and there are still many of us that use it and post when we can.

Thanks for helping me out! Keeps on being weird, since I can see the group when not logged in on facebook, after logging in, I get the message, that the page is not available and can't be accessed. Looks like I've been blocked for reasons I don't know, since I mostly read there and have only written about three or four postings during the last months. So I'm sorry for causing confusions, tried to find the page and got this message before, tried to access old postings through my mail-reminders and got this message as well and concluded, that the page was removed from facebook.

I stand corrected- as you know the only forum I use is this, and when viewing Joni's last attendance it says last September 2018

No doubt she is active as ever elsewhere, and that's great, just not on here.
