Hole in ceiling?

Hi all, I'm new here.

Last week I bought a 2016 DS3 puretech performance line and today I noticed theres a hole cut out in the ceiling in between the sun visors in the middle. I'm just wondering what was here or what it's for?

Also my sos button flashes orange occasionally so it anyone knows what that means that would be great lol.

might be for an air intake vent - whats on the outside?
