Hi all
So my 2014 1.6 THP Style Techno 165bhp has developed the rear parking system fault that seems very common here!
So when put in reverse it may or may not work, more often than not it will come up with the fault after initially showing the car and beeping on the screen. It does seem that the fault is with one of the centre sensors as even when the fault was up it would flash on screen for the outer sensors when my other half walked to them, but not the inner ones as they were constantly showing on & beeping as if something was there. Also most times the service light will come one but when you take it out of revers that goes.
So I have so far:
Checked the lights, all good but strangely when I disconnected the right hand rear cluster the fault seemed to clear although I did not test it at any length so given the fault is intermittent that may be coincidence?!
sprayed the sensors with WD40 to disperse any water...
OBD fault checked and nothing came up.
So it sounds like it may be the exhaust bracket but before I order one and replace it I thought I would ask if there is anything else I should try?
Thanks for reading
Paul
