Brake discs

Hi everyone
I'm new to the DS3 ownership and forum
I have a DS3 2010 16vti 120 , and changing the discs on front and rear the front are 283 mms and purchased some new one but are 266 mms even though I have them reg of car so thought there would be no mistakes.
Can I still put the 266mm one on instead of 283mm
