  • So she's finally arrived!

    Hey all,

Finally got my DSport Plus e-HDi 110 airdream this morning and she's beautiful! Haven't had a chance to have a good run in her yet but will do over the weekend!

I've decided she's going to be called 'Rosanna'.

Think I'll give her a good clean over the weekend, not something I've ever been very profficient at! Any advice on a good cleaning routine? I've seen a few articles on here but all seem a bit in depth to me.. any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

      Awesome!!

I wasn't too bothered about cleaning my car, but that changed! I'm sure you'll slowly start spending more time cleaning Rosanna

Lots of different ways. Information over load here

      My routine is:
      Rinse
      Wash with megs Gold Class
      Rinse
Second light wash (get the bits I missed)
      Rinse
      Dry all over
      Clean wheels
Wax body work - Zymol/Megs carnauba wax
      Wax Chrome- Zymol/Megs carnauba wax
Bumper care Auto Glym the black bits
Clean glass - AG Fast Glass
      Clean inside

Dash - I use AG Fast Glass
'Chrome' areas - Wax brings it up a treat

well i use the 1 bucket + hose method or 2 buckets if ya clivep lol. lambs wool mitt for washing n microfibre cloths for drying depending on what ya using to wash/wax im using @ mo turtle wax extreme nana tech shampoo as its rapid drying and then its a case of wax on wax off with Meguiars Deep Crystal Carnauba Car Wax works for me but it depends if u enjoy doing it really lol
i use the same shampoo on the wheels as some harsh wheel cleaners are like nitromores lol

Yeah, I use shampoo on my wheels - Dad told me never to get wheel cleaner :|

          Also wax them.

I do most things he says, eating coffee beans was the worst. No, eating shell fish with the shell on that wasn't softshell crab was the worse

                Snap. Nice choice.

Just washed mine this afternoon mainly to check for leaks not that dirty mainly dust but need to clean wheels properly next time round.

Thankfully found no leaks. Stop start is a dream!

Looks nice, when u get the cleaning bug and u will, I hope u enjoy washing her like I do. I find I very satisfying washing and polishing her and coz my hands are small I can get right inside my wheels and give them a good clean as mine are the white bellones. Just enjoy

Well Chris I did not want you to be showing me up tomorrow so I thought that she should be looking her best.

The stickers.....................................well they just did not look good on her.

Might when I get my AJ07 plates fitted later in the year get the DS3club.co.uk logo printed on them.

Why Rosanna? Mine is called Cosette after the Les Miserables character. She was the adopted daughter of the main character Jean Valjean.
