Quick Dsport Plus Questions

Hi all,

I've just tested a Dsport 1.6 HDI for the last 5 days through my company car scheme at work. I've loved the car and am pretty certainly going to order one!

I just had a couple of quick questions that I thought I'd asked as I've looked at the brochures and there's a couple of things I am not clear on.

Does the Dsport plus only come in 4 colours, i.e. the white, sport red, sport yellow and black?

Also, is the Dsport plus available with the Myway option? The dsport plus brochure doesnt seem to show a price for it!

welcome to the site . it does only come in the 4 colours youve said and as far as i believe the myway option isnt available on them hope this helps

The myway is a waste of money personally and you loose your USB interface if you have it.

DS3 + versions now come in 6 different body colours, Blue, Black, White, Red, Yellow and Hickory.

Because of the nature of the model you cannot add any options.

I got offered the MyWay when ordering mine although my dealer didn't know much about them so maybe she got the options list wrong, personally I wouldn't have it as it does get rid of the usb which I now couldn't live without

When i bought mine i was told by the salesman to not bother with the MyWay system. He said it wasn't that good and considering the price you can get much better for much cheaper.

I am probably going to order the 110ehdi dsport plus as well, and I'm looking forward to having the USB port instead of the myway so I can plug a big external hard drive into it.

Bigfeet - Would something like a 640gb hard drive work with the stereo? I ask because my current stereo has a USB port, but none of my external drives work with it.

Agreed I have the Myway in my Racing and actually miss the the HiFi unit in the D-Sport Plus I had before the Racing. IPOD, USB Stick and bluetooth music support is much more use than Sat Nav, I would rather of saved the extra cash and got a Mobile Nav app or a Tom Tom........

just make sure the hdd isnt ntfs id imagine and on drives bigger than about 40gb windows 7 defaults to ntfs and wont allow you to change

My idea of getting the Myway was more of the aesthetics then anything. I hate those dull orange screens you get in cars these days! Surely can't be that expensive to fit colour screens as standard! The satnav for me was just a bonus as well as the screen.

I have read you lose the USB port and Bluetooth streaming which is a bit of a bummer but I mostly listen to the radio when I drive anyway so I'm not sure it'd bother me all that much!

What options do you guys think are worth getting? The demo I got through work was pimped up to the hilt with pretty much every option going. Dsport with myway, folding mirrors, electrochrome mirror, auto lights and wipers, parking sensors, leather seats. Although no cup holder though :P.

All them apart from the myway come standard on the Dsport +.

I didn't know you could plug something like a big hard drive into the USB I might have to look in to getting one.

The owners handbook warns against plugging hard drives into the USB socket. I bought a 128GB memory stick when I knew the car was about to be delivered, I've managed to fit my entire CD collection ( over 25,000 tracks ) onto it at a good quality bit rate
