As Cyclone says give it a go. The medical bit has changed in recent years with the introduction of the NPPL where you can get by with a declaration of health from your GP. Then there is always the Microlight world. You may have some restrictions placed on you but true enough neither Cyclone or I know your exact eye probs. Best thing is get to see and AME ( authorised, CAA, medical examineer ) they are usually GPs its the only way you will know for sure. Good luck.

We maybe able to draw a line under this topic now, as in contradiction to the information I received with my ticket I have been offered and accepted a speed awarness course. Better brush up on braking distances etc and be prepared to be servile., Something to which I am unacustomed. BF let me know if you have any movement on the flying front please.

I've done a spending awareness course recently, I actually thought it was quite good and that all learners should do it.
