  • 1st Quote on a DS3

    Hi everyone,

Looking for a bit of help really. I've been in to my local Citroen garage and after talking to the salesman in there, I managed to get this:

1.6 DS3 eHDI DStyle Plus (90), with 6000 miles a year, 3 years warranty & servicing and in Sport Red with a Black Roof for £240 a month. Deposit wise, I'll be putting down £1000, Citroen will put down £500.

Do people think this seems like a reasonable deal? I'm also just debating with myself whether it's about getting a plus! Is it really worth the extra £10-20 a month?

I am paying less for 20,000 miles a year, same deposit

You do get a lot of extra goodies with the plus, I didn't intend to pay the extra, but when I worked out what you got, it seemed silly not to.

      Same car?

Where from?! BSM seemed pretty adamant this was the best deal ever.

White, so I suppose you need to take off the cost of the paint, but yes, same car other than that.

There were some deals on the net for a non plus car, I quoted that and asked them to match it, they couldn't quite match it, but was happy to paid a bit more face to face from a dealer down the road from where I live (Freeborn in Southampton)

Having just test driven a 1.6 e-HDi 110 Sport Plus i can say it is a very nice car and the leather seats give it even more of a quality feel than the Sport. I guess it depends if you want to buy from Citroen or go down the personal contract hire route. You will get more bang per buck with contract hire. We were however tempted to go with the Citroen deal, although that will cost us around £288pm with £2800 down (our C4 taken in exchange) and 18000 mile allowance. Not a stunning deal but you do get free servicing (two services) and the three year warranty and breakdown cover. Not entirely sure that's worth paying extra for but in our case we can have the car in 7 days as they actually have it in stock. Decisions, decisions!

Yes, definitely! This is my 2nd car and still got some money on a loan on my current car. I'm really hoping BSM will part exchange it enough for me to pay off my loan. Worth asking anyway

Any other people with good deals around the 8-10k mark?

I'm paying £260 a month for a Dsport plus HDI 110, having put 1k down + citroen's contrib of £500, that's with 10k miles p.a, a full tank on delivery and some floor mats thrown in - and I'm being picked up from home and taken to collect my new car TOMORROW!

That is a very nice deal! Is that through a Citroen Dealer? Is that the HDi or e-HDi ? I think the newer engined one is a bit more expensive and might explain our quote of £280 even with £2800 deposit? We are going for a higher mileage allowance but still, our deal is looking very expensive in comparison to yours! What colour combo did you go for?

I took a deal from evans halshaw in and they matched it - I've got the white/black roof combination, the original deal I took in was for the old HDI engine; but they quoted me on the new e-hdi with 99 emissions - so quids in all round, I could have got it slightly cheaper @ 250 a month but on the old engine; but my local garage spent alot of time with me and were actually great to deal with, unlike the suits I'd dealt with at the Evans Halshaw garage!

**edit picking it up TODAY** Cannot wait, got an iPhone breeming with music and I'm just sat waiting for my lift to the dealership now

That's not too bad. Problem is I need to get money for my old car so I can pay off my loan! That or get a DS3 monthly payment down £130, which I can't see happening.

I'm hoping the fact my brother wants to get a DS4 for his upgrade on his DS3 contract will persuade them with giving me a better price...

The problem with this is how long is a piece of string! I still think I got my Boo the best deal on here

Best thing to do is sit down and work out what you can afford and go from there, once you have a monthly roof on your budget then you can go looking for something that fits. At the end of the day there is always going to be someone who got it cheaper but don't let that worry you - as long as the deal fits your shoes

So, a nice update on this I think!

                          24 month term
                          10,000 miles per year
                          DriverLine
                          Tax disc
                          Maintenance £28 a month
                          £161 a month (so £190 a month)
DStyle Airdream Plus 1.6, in the colour I want!
                          £1000 deposit

                          Seem good to people?!

*Turns out I didn't understand it fully and it's for PCH and not PCP! Hopefully they can explain about stratches etc. any other questions I should ask on a PCH which you would normally get on PCP?

sounds pretty good to me though.

                              Yep, straight from the quote:

We’ll cover full servicing, MOT, tyre replacement and any mechanical repairs needed."
