Arrives tomorrow

Hi,
Daughters car arrives tomorrow, DSport plus black on black 1.6 EHdi lease car so being delivered to house. Is there anything specific that needs to be checked on delivery, apart from the obvious paint, scratches etc maybe something that has been found wrong a couple of times on previous new deliveries?
I have searched the site to see if there was any kind of tick list for new deliveries so you don't forget anything in the excitment but couldn't find anything. Long delay from original delivery date, well 4 weeks, but she has had no car during that time so she really is looking forward to tomorrow.

As to checks, take it for a good run i'd say. For no other reason than that you will love it too.

With your paperwork you should receive a copy of the PDI sheet, make sure it's been completed.

If you have locking wheel bolts make sure you get the key!

This is why it's so much better to have a proper handover with your dealer rather then just having it dumped at the door. If there is any issues the delivery driver won't give a monkeys because he has done his bit as he will have only been contracted to deliver.

Thanks for the replies Guys got the locking wheel nut key and the PDI form thanks. She is out in it now she does love it. I also tried it before I took it to her and I must say it one nice car the diesel engine is great, responsive loads of torque and quite quick.
I see your point bigfoot regarding hand over etc but she is leasing the car and it was a very good deal, well I thought so. All in all, delay aside, not a bad experience sorting it out for her and the car is very nice too.

How did the paint look? Was it showing minor swirls and needing a clean? I recall reading stories about needing to clean the car after taking delivery. Can't say I will be cleaning mine until i'ts been out on the road first

Yes it needs a clean but not enough to stop her taking it out will help her with this over the next couple of days when she finally stops driving it long enough.
