It was back to the stealers today to have it's issues sorted and guess what? No fault found and all my own fault for having to drive around town!
360 miles on a full tank is the norm they reckon when your average speed is 16 MPH.
The kangarooing, hesitations, flat spots, window only winding up an inch before retreating back in the door, bluetooth locking up, cranky auto wipers and lights... all my fault for being stuck in traffic.
The very patronising cow on the phone said that MPG is all I can expect. I did try to tell her that others are getting far more than that around town but everyone elses speed in rush hour town traffic is far greater than mine, she reckons. I was doing the same journeys and speed daily in a Peugeot 806 7 seater brick on wheels with 180k on the clock and a 2.0 Hdi lump with a cracked injector and got about the same consumption though. So much for downsizing to save fuel.
Well, at least they did the brake recall.
