Got my White DS3 Today!

Hello everyone,

Today I became an Owner of my very own DS3. I have a DS3 Plus in White with Black Roof!

Ive been driving around trying to get used to a new clutch biting point and im impressed, loving it already, back aches a little but did after i first got my last car, suppose you need to get used to new seat. Theyre flying machines!

My only issue that Id like some advice on is my Music, My previous car Kia Soul, I plugged a USB memory stick direct in and it played all my music.
I do have an Ipod, never really bother with it much, its at work and dont have a cable that will slot into the AUX and connect up, might see if they have any of these in £1 shop or wherever.

Is there anyway I can get some sort of adaptor that plug into AUX and connects to memory stick and plays the music. Im sure others must have had similar dilemmas or know whats good options

Dont really wanna go back to burning MP3 CDs

Nice and welcome to the club. I take it you don't have the USB socket in your model? If not then i'm not sure but try looking in the entertainment section on here. Someone else may have had the same question and the answer could be there.

No afraid not, just one marked AUX. Funny enough on first test drive i asked the dealer if they had USB slots he said yes, but today when I asked and showed me said no, just AUX for ipod. Must have been different models.

I thought it may have been an optional upgrade at cost. The sales man's lack of knowledge may have cost you both there.

Lovely...bit annoying he showed you one with the city pack but sold you another. As Adi said, simple 3mm jack works

You could always get the Connecting Box/MP3 Adapter accessory, it's not cheap ( close to £200 I think ) but you could always ask your dealer if they will do you a deal as they had led you to believe you would have a USB socket in the car.

I looked into this during the 2 weeks waiting for my DStyle+ (also in White/Black =D) and I went through sooooo many different options from getting the USB box (decided £200 was too expensive), to changing the head unit (too much of a faff and mother worried about warranty/PCP issues - not worth the berating every time I speak to her) and in the end decided to give MP3 CDs a go... I got 10 decent quality CDs for £3 from Asda and can burn about 100 songs per disc. I keep the one disc in the player and shuffle through it using the stalk controls cos I don't usually listen to specific tracks - but I quickly (and sadly) get to learn the numbers of my fave tracks!

Bit of a hassle if you change your music often - I usually updated my USB in my last car about once a month probably the same with my CDs, so it's not that much hassle for saving £200 =D

Other than that, the cars are amazing aren't they! Welcome =D

Not standard on all models. You need the Connect Signature pack, which is only standard on DSport & DSport + models, it is an option on DSign & DStyle models but not an option for DStyle +. All this information is from the downloadable versions of the brochures, Bigfeet or your dealer may know different.
