Hi all. Been a regular reader of the site for some weeks now so thought I'd better join the madhouse! I am due to change my car in a couple of months & have always loved the DS3 - ever since I saw it first unveiled about 4 years ago now as a concept. Glad Citroen went ahead & produced it! I currently drive a Fiesta Titanium with full bodykit & all the toys - but previous to that I had a C2 VTR for 3 years & loved every minute of owning it.
Steve ; I popped into my local Citroen dealer a few weeks ago now (where I got my C2 VTR from) & he told me that they are indeed replacing the 1.6Dstyle automatic with the 1.4 Dstyle EGS 5-speed box - very similar to the old paddle shift 'Sensodrive' box in the C2. As you mention ; it will come (I'm told) with 17" Bellone wheels as standard, same seat fabric as the DSport, chrome door strip, aluminium pedals, Bluetooth etc and climate control - all as standard. The 1.4 EGS is currently on sale in Asia and has just had its first deliveries to Australia this month - replacing the outgoing 1.6 automatic. Sounds to me that although power is down from 1.6 to 1.4 - Citroen have thrown in a few extras by way of kit, toys, etc.
Anyway, cheers all. I feel like I'm going to be hanging around here for quite some time from now onwards!
